Administration
Mr. David Todd, Principal
Welcome to Youth Middle School!
We are proud to be a school with a strong list of accomplishments made possible by a very dedicated group of administrators, faculty, staff and students. Our faculty prides themselves on providing our students with the very best environment for academic achievement and personal development. Along with our list of academic achievements, our athletes show their Warrior pride with a long list of game wins and trophies that adorn our trophy cases as you enter the school.
Our school offers our students many opportunities to be involved in their school: clubs, sports, after school program, and college/career planning. Our counseling staff is available to assist with the transition from child to teenager that occurs over the three years in our middle school. It is important to remember that Youth Middle School has the staff and the resources available to assist you and your child during this transition.
Parents, please make sure that you to check your child’s grades online on Infinite Campus (https://icmapus.walton.k12.ga.us/campus/portal/walton.jsp). It is important to keep an open line of communication with your child’s teacher through parent conferences, email, and the student agenda. To help you stay informed of school events, please check us out @ www.youthmiddle.org or “ like us” on Facebook. Successful middle school years require a team of administrators, teachers, counselors and parents working together with the same goal.
All of this along with community involvement through PTO, Communities in School, Partners in Education, volunteers, mentors and parent input and support create our school: Youth Middle School -a place “Where Young Minds Succeed.”
I am excited to begin my fourth year as principal here at Youth Middle School. I was an assistant principal for six years and a teacher for nine years. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Georgia State University along with an Education Masters degree from the University of Georgia. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be the principal at Youth Middle School.

Mr. Rob Donaldson, Assistant Principal
I am eager and excited to begin my second year here at Youth Middle School. I have been part of Walton County Schools for thirteen years and in the education field for twenty one years. Walton County is my home. Prior to being an Assistant Principal, I have served as a Social Studies teacher and head coach. I am anxious to get to work with the administrative team, staff, students, and community here at Youth Middle School.
My goal is to create a safe, warm, active learning, and nurturing school environment that allows administration, staff, students, and the community to be united as one Youth Middle School. This school atmosphere will allow me as an assistant principal to lead with my heart. I will reach and touch the lives of each and every administrator, staff member, and student. I will empower each administrator, staff member, and student with positive self esteem and self worth, confidence and in return they will meet the high expectations that are demanded of them academically, socially, physically, athletically, and emotionally. All administrators, staff members, and students will be life-long learners who will be able to succeed in the game of LIFE.
I am excited to have the opportunity to work with such a professional and caring staff. Our teachers, clerical staff, custodians, and cafeteria workers are the backbone to the great successes here at Youth Middle School on a daily basis. Their passion is teaching and serving your children; and their greatest joy is seeing and watching your child succeed in school and life.
I am looking forward to a great school year. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance. Thank you for allowing us to work with your children on a daily basis, it is a blessing.

Mrs. Beth Morgan, Assistant Principal
I am excited for my new career adventure as Assistant Principal at Youth Middle School. I look forward to a very positive and productive year together! In middle school we ask students to assume more responsibility for themselves, which includes their learning. I’d like to extend a year-long invitation to our parents to join us at school activities and events. We value your involvement and support in your child’s education. I am here to support the teachers, students, and parents in any way to ensure a successful school year. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
Mr. Michael Youngblood, Assistant Principal
Hello and welcome to Youth Middle School! My name is Michael Youngblood and I am an assistant principal. We are excited to have your child with us on a daily basis, as we strive for safety while promoting a learning environment that will prepare them for life's future endeavors. It is our goal to support the students, staff, and parents as we all must work together for the benefit of our students. We have an extraordinary staff here at YMS, and we are eager for your child to become entrenched in the many opportunities available to help them succeed. Please know that this will not be possible without the involvement of our parents. We must have our parents involved in their child's educational process in order for them to reach their maximum potential as a student and a person. As we progress throughout the year, please do not hesitate to contact me if there are any questions regarding your child.
Thank you for allowing us to have a positive impact on your child!
